Raised in China during a transformative era, I moved to Hong Kong in 1980, immersing myself in diverse experiences. Fueled by a passion for learning, I explored jewelry and fashion design, delved into Chinese painting, and studied under Mr. Zhao Shao'ang of the Lingnan school. In the 1990s, a new chapter unfolded as I immigrated to the United States with my husband, embracing studies in Western fine arts.Navigating different countries and cultures, I discovered the complexities of life. Professional identity, skills, and persistence play pivotal roles, and while results may not always align with efforts, the journey endures.For decades, my art has spanned diverse mediums, from jewelry design to Chinese calligraphy, wood carving to Western oil painting. Critics questioned the breadth of my focus, yet I assert that dedication to each field allows for brilliance in diverse domains.Amidst life's uncertainties, I find solace in creating a beautiful realm within. As an ordinary visual artist, I may not alter the world, but I strive to craft beauty.
